Now, I know most people use and update their blogs on the regular, but im not most people and I've never been a consistent journaler. (is that a word?) As a matter of fact I can probably tell you that I will take about 3-4 breaks before I even finish this entry. That's sad right?
LoL....well, I am not sure when the last time I updated my blog was, but I think it was either during or right after spring break. Anyway, that was over a month ago and im sure you know that a LOT happens in a month. One being that im 2 weeks away from my college graduation from the University of Maine. Lord willing I will be getting that "degree" that people talk about so much when you're a child. It's not until actually....ummm I guess graduation that people probably stop talking about gettin that degree. Then after that I guess you become a "get ur degree" marketer just like everyone else was the first 22 years of your life. Sounds like some kind of pattern to me.
Within the last year I have met more people then I can count who have taken the college degree route and now are doing something completely different for the Lord. Isnt that tight how God works? I can guarantee that many of them who arent necessarily using their degrees would have been able to grow as much as they have spiritually had they not gone to college and strived to get that degree. So you see...college is about more than that I guess. It's about learning stuff and looking back and seeing your growth. Sadly, many people miss out on that in our society because they spend 4 years drinking, smokin, sexing, and doing every thing else thats only a temporary fix. Im not looking down on people who do that because it's all about where you're at u know and I was there once. BUT I can share with anyone that where I was compared to where God has brought me doesn't even compare. If I could I would love for everyone to experience the joy that I have in knowing Christ in an intimate personal relationship.
If you think I rocked my mic then holla!

I know I havent updated this in awhile. You see I am in a new relationship and its generally long distance, but for 2 weeks it wont be and I have been pretty occupied with that. It has been interesting to say the least and I am learning a LOT in the process.
Ashmah came to visit for a few days and look at apartments before she moves down here. I always said I wanted to move out of howard county and back to PG when I could, but looking at some of those apartments while we have been looking around...I cant say that I do want to move out of howard county. It's like once you have experienced something better and nicer you don't want to step down. It's expensive out here though...thats 4 real. Maryland in general just is expensive unless you wanna live in tha hood or in a roach infested or crime ridden area. It sucks that that's how things are, but thats how it is I guess. I wouldnt mind living in Baltimore County though because they do have some decent affordable roach free places.
It was weird to be going out looking at a place with Ashmah considering we're both only 22 years old. I was just there for the ride though. I think my first place alone will be in Florida and the cost of living is MUCH cheaper there. I got some good ideas though of what I would look for when I move back home. We had a good time and let me just tell you that we have seen a very good amount of people and places. I would advise though for all apartment companies to make sure of a few things before you show a prospective tenant the place:
- please make sure you really DONt have mice on your premises BEFORE you tell the prospective that there's no rodent problems in the area...that makes them out to be liars when you see a mouse run right across your feet under the building
- make sure you remove the stinch of 50lbs of old fish from the freezer BEFORE the prospective tenant opens itand may need to be rushed to intensive care due to toxic fumes
- if yall have roaches just say it, no need to beat around the bush...either you do or you dont
- please know a lil bit about the place you're tryin to rent out
- stop talkin so much...some people are on tight schedules...show the apartment and give the application
- the person you have working in your rental office is representative of your entire property...your best person should be working there...rude people get NO love
- dont try to lie and act like ur place is state of the art with that old crusty washer and dryer in there
There are many many more not worth mentioning. LoL...all in all it was a fun time. I guess i'll writer more of the spring break blog one day...hahaha.
It's almost 5pm...time for my evening to begin...tonight its gospel skate night in bmore...it should be fun.
